For DMV homes we recommend fiberglass 90% of the time — woodgrain texture, paint-grade, dent-resistant, 30+ year lifespan. Steel is fine for back/side doors. Wood is beautiful but requires maintenance and weather exposure is hard on it.
Usually yes — we install pre-hung doors with new frames. This gets you proper weatherstripping and avoids problems with old, racked frames. If your existing frame is in great shape we can install a slab; we'll assess at the quote.
Yes. We measure existing trim profiles and either re-use or re-mill to match. Paint blending too — we touch up surrounding paint so the install looks original.
