General
What areas do you serve?
Maryland, Washington DC, and Northern Virginia — the entire DMV. Most ZIP codes within a 50-mile radius of Rockville, MD. If you’re unsure whether we serve your ZIP, call us at (301) 948-2678.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes — triple-licensed: MHIC #129630 (MD), VA #2705082387A, and DC #420224000125. Fully insured, bonded, and OSHA-compliant. Manufacturer-certified by GAF, CertainTeed, James Hardie, Trex, Andersen, Pella, ProVia, and others.
How long have you been in business?
Family-owned and operated since 1976. Second generation runs daily operations. We’ve completed over 5,000 DMV projects.
Pricing
Are quotes free?
Yes — all in-home estimates are free, with no obligation. Most quotes are scheduled within 24-48 hours of inquiry. For smaller projects (gutters, doors), same-day quoting is sometimes available.
How do you quote a project?
We come out, walk the project with you, take measurements, and discuss material/finish options. Every Four Seasons quote is itemized — labor, materials, disposal, permits, and any sub-trade work all broken out separately. You see exactly what you’re paying for.
Do you do change orders?
Sometimes mid-project changes are needed — discovered scope (rotted decking, etc.), client-initiated upgrades, or unforeseen conditions. We document every change in writing, with fixed pricing, and we don’t proceed until you sign. No “we figured we’d just do it” surprise charges.
Process
How long does a typical project take?
Depends on the project. Roofing: most asphalt jobs finish in 1 day. Siding: 5-10 working days. Kitchens: 6-10 weeks. Bathrooms: 3-5 weeks. Decks/porches: 2-6 weeks. Sunrooms: 6-12 weeks. We give you a written week-by-week timeline at quote signing.
Will you pull permits?
Yes, in your name. Most roofing, window, door, kitchen, bathroom, and addition projects require permits in DMV jurisdictions. We handle the application, inspections, and HOA architectural review submittals.
Do I need to be home during construction?
For most exterior work (roofing, siding, gutters, doors), no — you can come and go. For interior work, you can stay in the house unless your only kitchen/bathroom is involved. We keep one project manager as your single point of contact.
Warranties
What warranties do you offer?
Two layers: (1) manufacturer’s product warranty — typically 25-50 years depending on material and brand, full coverage when installed by a certified contractor like us, and (2) Four Seasons workmanship warranty — in writing, transferable, covers our labor. For roofing, our GAF Master Elite status unlocks the Golden Pledge warranty: 50 years, transferable, covers materials AND labor.
Are warranties transferable to a new owner?
Most manufacturer warranties are transferable for one ownership change within the warranty period. Our workmanship warranty is also transferable. This matters at resale — buyers are willing to pay more for transferable warranties on major systems.
Insurance & storm damage
Do you handle insurance claims?
Yes. We provide free damage inspections, document everything with photos and measurements, attend the inspection with you and the adjuster, and push for full replacement when warranted. We’ve negotiated thousands of DMV claims and we know the language adjusters use. Learn more about our storm damage process →
How fast can you respond after a storm?
During normal conditions, 24-48 hours for inspection. During major regional storm events, response may be slightly slower due to volume — but storm damage is always prioritized over other quotes. Emergency tarping available the same day in most cases.
Financing
Do you offer financing?
Yes. $0 down and 0% interest for 12 months on approved projects, plus same-as-cash and extended-term plans through our lending partners. Most projects qualify. Specific terms depend on project size and credit; easiest to confirm during your free estimate.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Check, ACH bank transfer, credit card, and financing through our lender partners. We typically structure projects with a deposit at signing, progress payments tied to construction milestones, and a final payment at completion.
